from Ian Condon, Piddle Valley Gardens Club - You may have heard about the threat to British wildlife posed by the Asian (yellow legged) hornet. These creatures have spread across France and have made it to the UK in increasing numbers over the last few years. They pose a serious threat to our native insects in particular our honey bees and other pollinators. Not only that, they are extremely aggressive if the nest is threatened and pose a serious threat to humans.
